IGFA: new silvertip shark world record
Italian angler Andrea Pellegrini caught a record-sized oceanic silvertip shark (Carcharhinus albimarginatus) while fishing aboard the charter boat " Boomerang “ close Latham Island (Indian Ocean), which is located about 40 nautical miles off Dar er Salaam in the east African country of Tanzania. TANZANIA: tigerfish and vundu catfish on Mnyera river
After a very successful stay on the Mnyera river, it was time to make the journey across to Samaki camp. It was a very early start, to ensure that the first day on the Ruhudji was a full one.
The plan for the first day was to fish the section from the first riffles down to camp, for the morning session, and then to work our way downriver after that. The morning session produced some great fish
