Angler David Cornfeldt Smashes landed an huge cod over the 80 lbs mark while fishing in Northern Norway.

According with the Norway Guide Fishing blog this monster cod was 37,4 kg or 82 lbs and was caught using a Savage Gear Herring Cutbait in the always effective Firetiger color!

NORWAY: giant cod fishing off Sørøya

At "Nordic Sea Anglings" camp on Sørøya Island in Norway, the first guests arrived and spend the first week of March facing though conditions and very unpredictable weather. The biggest Atlantic cod caught during the first week was 60 pound - 28 kilos, but unfortunately the weather didn’ t allow the guests to spend much time on the best hot spots.

NORWAY: giant Atlantic Halibut

At the end of last week an old Norwegian sport fisherman, Hans Olsen, fought an huge Atlantic halibut 8 feet long with a weight of 331 pound - 149 kilograms out of the Norwegian Sea, even though it wasn’t a record was the biggest landed in north Norway this year. The angler Hans Olsen, sold his catch to a British fishmonger in Manchester, England for around $3,200 USD.

Angler Morten Hvam was fishing off the island of Soroya in the Norwegian Sea when he landed this 91-pound, 15-ounce cod (41.29 kilogram), which broke for sure the European record by 15 ounces. NORWAY: a great start for cod fishing

20/3 2012 Finally we have get some better weather. Today we went on the first trip for the skrei this year. It is still a bit early, but we were successful and caught 30 cods over 20kg. The biggest was 27,8kg.
